HKL-liikelaitos (represented by Pääkaupunkiseudun Kaupunkiliikenne Oy "KLOY") is procuring a rail grinding machine (hereinafter "machine") for metro tracks, which operates using the laahuskivitekniikka method, with the aim of preventing the onset of rail defects. The objective of the procurement is to extend the service life of the rails and reduce the need for profiling. The machine's grinding function is powered by a diesel generator, but it is towed or pushed by a rail truck. The machine's location is the Helsinki metro depot, to which the machine is also delivered (DAP Metrovarikko, Helsinki). The machine must be delivered in a satisfactory condition at the latest 16 months after the signing of the contract. The machine is dismantled from the transport by the supplier's personnel, who are present and guide the process, and it is put into operation on the rails. The procurement includes warranty period maintenance and spare parts, as well as training for KLOY's personnel who will use the machine. The machine is accepted and approved at the buyer's depot during the personnel training.
