Germany – Electrical installation work – VER Ladeinfrastruktur

Verkehrsgesellschaft Ennepe-Ruhr mbHGermanyPublished on Oct 26, 2026
No deadline given

Description

The Verkehrsgesellschaft Ennepe-Ruhr mbH (VER) is a regional transport company and partner in the Verkehrsverbund Rhein-Ruhr (VRR). As a mobility service provider and transport company, VER ensures efficient local transport that connects the cities of the Ennepe-Ruhr district and links them with the region. The AG already has some battery buses and will gradually convert the entire fleet to climate-friendly vehicles. A feasibility study has confirmed that the complete conversion to battery buses is technically and operationally feasible. Based on this, the AG now plans the conversion and thus also the installation of charging and power supply infrastructure at the AG's depot for recharging the buses. The necessary conversion work to create the charging options is divided into 4 projects (the current tender is for project 1):

- Project 1: Construction of charging and power supply infrastructure for charging 60 battery buses by 2028. A key point is the new grid connection with approx. 3 MW to the medium voltage and installation of a medium voltage ring on the depot

- Project 2: The workshop will be extended by an annex with roof workstations for the maintenance of battery buses

- Project 3: The capacity of the grid connection will be increased to approx. 7.5 MW and charging options for 30 additional buses in hall section 1 to 6 will be created

- Project 4: Upgrading the adjacent property (plot 1616) for 9 fast-charging points with pantographs, parking spaces and a breakdown area

The project is highly dependent on public funding. This has been applied for but not yet approved. If the investment costs are not largely covered by public funding, the contracting authority reserves the right to cancel the current tender. In this case, claims for compensation by applicants and bidders are excluded.
