At Gothenburg Landvetter Airport, there are currently 11 passenger boarding bridges, 3 of which are new and the remaining are of an older model. Boarding bridges and stands 12-20 are of an older model. All 8 boarding bridges at stands 12-20 are assessed to have exceeded their technical lifespan. The project involves a reinvestment of these 8 stands, including the replacement of passenger boarding bridges, the construction of new bridge houses of approximately 200m2 each, and the construction of boarding walks connecting to the terminal. In addition, all concrete and asphalt surfaces in the area will be replaced, along with the reinvestment of all technical systems in the ground and around the stands. All airport-specific technology such as PCA (pre-conditioned air), GPU (ground power units), docking systems, charging infrastructure, ground heating, lighting masts, etc., will be replaced. The implementation will take place on Airside in direct connection with air traffic. The project is preliminarily divided into 2 phases. In addition to the above, a study is underway regarding the expansion of the terminal by approximately 1000m2, including 1st stand as above, and the expansion of the existing gate by 400m2. The assignment includes producing a program document/system document that is calculable. Detailed design (AB 04) and relations basis can be procured as options, provided that investment funds are granted. Design is estimated to start in Q3 2026.
