The Municipality of Thessaloniki has fountains of various sizes, with single or multiple tier basins, equipped with electromechanical systems for creating complex and multi-layered water jets, which are installed in parks and squares. According to Study No. 3/2026 (Annex II of Declaration No. 24/2026), of the Department of Electrification & Energy Management Network, of the Directorate of Works Restoration & Maintenance of Public Space, it is planned to carry out the works for the restoration of proper functioning according to the technical specifications and the maintenance of the equipment, the electrical and hydraulic installations of the fountains as well as the water shapes (such as the New Waterfront). The successful tenderer will be required to carry out, at regular intervals (weekly, monthly and bi-annually), cleaning, descaling, chlorination, inspection, adjustment and repair of the electromechanical-electronic equipment and electrical installations (i.e. pumps, nozzles, valves, electric motors, electrical panels with electrical and electronic devices, flow regulators, cables, sensors, projectors and fountain lights, etc.), as well as the hydraulic installations (pipes, valves, water tanks, etc.).
