Belgium – Special-purpose road passenger-transport services – Raamovereenkomst Niet-dringend patiëntenvervoer

The hospital wishes to conclude a framework agreement for the execution of non-urgent patient transport. This includes all transport to and/or from patients on behalf of the hospital, for which the costs of transport are charged to the hospital. This is in principle the case when a patient, for an examination, treatment or consultation that cannot proceed on the steering AZ KLINA campus and was prescribed by a hospital specialist, is transferred to another campus of the hospital or another recognised federal hospital/care institution where this examination, treatment or consultation can proceed. Also transport for discharges of patients who are transferred to another hospital for a medical reason or if it fits in the patient's treatment trajectory, whereby the patient, for example, must go to another recognised hospital for a specific intervention, but the follow-up treatment can continue in a hospital closer to home. This agreement can be applied 7/7 and 24/24. The order is executed for an initial period of 48 months and can be silently extended twice with an additional period of 12 months to a maximum total duration of six years. The contractor must at all times comply with the applicable federal and Flemish regulations regarding patient transport, medical aids, professional qualifications and quality requirements.
