Slovakia – Flood-control valves – II. VS Ružín I. - rekonštrukcia ovládacích prvkov v tlakovej komore

The subject of the contract is the reconstruction of the control elements of the technological equipment in the pressure chamber of the VS Ružín I facility, aimed at increasing the operational reliability, safety and service life of the shut-off valves operating under extreme hydraulic conditions. The reconstruction includes:

- the replacement of 6 DN400 - PN6 sliding (knife) shut-offs in the pressure chamber,

- the replacement of 1 DN400 - PN6 sliding (knife) shut-off in the pump chamber, each shut-off must be supplied as a complete functional unit including:

- a steel support,

- an electric motor with a gearbox that can be dismantled without disturbing the anchoring of the stand,

- a stand anchored to the floor of the engine room,

- an extension shaft with a bearing mounting,

- a system for sealing the shaft opening,

- a flange adapter for adjusting the working length of the pipe.

The aim of the reconstruction is to eliminate the design deficiencies of the existing solution (especially the breakage of the control rod through the cardan joint) and to ensure a direct, coaxial and reliable connection between the shut-off and the control mechanism.
