The existing culvert No. 420 carries the Aller, a federal waterway of the first order, east of Wolfsburg at MLK-km 251.890 under the Mittelland Canal. The existing culvert No. 420 does not meet the geometric requirements for the expansion of the MLK in a trapezoidal profile, which includes a widening to the south. After the completion of the new culvert, the partial dismantling of the existing culvert, and the subsequent construction of the Aller relief III on the south bank of the MLK, the existing bottleneck section from MLK-km 251.703 to 251.973 will be expanded (MLK gap closure). Initially, the existing culvert will be replaced by a new construction 30 m west of the existing culvert at MLK-km 251.860. The existing culvert will be dismantled to the extent necessary for the MLK expansion and the new construction of the flood relief structure Aller relief III. The Aller relief III will then be erected at the site of the old culvert inlet structure on the south bank of the MLK at MLK-km 251.890. The work for both structures includes: - Variant study under the same boundary conditions including an economic efficiency proof according to the compendium Cost-Benefit Analysis (NKA) for investments in inland waterways - Preparation of a geotechnical report with additional notes on the new construction of the culvert using the pipe jacking method as well as further geotechnical reports for the new construction of the Aller relief III, for the production of the excavation support and for the MLK gap closure with subdivision of the construction site into homogeneous areas - Preparation of a demolition and disposal concept - Measurement programme according to VV-WSV 2602 for the construction and operation of the new culvert system with the Aller relief III - Safety and health protection coordination according to the Construction Site Ordinance for the planning phase - Preparation of a design draft-AU according to VV-WSV 2107 for the new construction of culvert No. 420 with the new construction of the Aller relief III as well as for the partial dismantling of the existing culvert system with the old flood relief on the north bank of the MLK and for the MLK gap closure - Preparation of the execution planning and compilation of the contract documents.
