The district of Bad Dürkheim intends to carry out fire safety improvements, active shooter prevention, as well as structural and energy-efficient renovation of the facade of the Carl-Orff-Realschule Plus in Bad Dürkheim. The entire building has fire safety deficiencies and must be upgraded. The planning services required for this purpose are to be tendered. The secondary school (built in 1974) has a usable area of approximately 7,000 m³, distributed over 6 floors, including one basement. A fire safety concept was created in 2008 for the fire safety renovation. This envisages upgrading measures, particularly with regard to walls and ceilings. Furthermore, ventilation, sanitary, heating and electrical installations must be checked and upgraded as required. In this context, a fire alarm and active shooter alarm system will also be installed. The building envelope also has structural deficiencies in the anchoring of the facade and attic panels and must be upgraded. A pre-hung facade with fibre cement facade panels is planned. The windows and external doors will also be replaced. The roof surfaces must be checked and, if necessary, upgraded. The particular challenge of the planning task lies in the planning of the implementation of the work during ongoing operations. The students can be accommodated in containers during the renovation work. However, this is only possible to a limited extent. The construction costs (net) for the technical equipment are expected to be as follows: Lot 410 - Drainage, water, gas systems - approx. 490,000 EUR; Lot 420 - Heating systems - approx. 200,000 EUR; Lot 430 - Air conditioning systems - approx. 500,000 EUR; Lot 440 - High voltage systems - approx. 1,000,000 EUR; Lot 450 - Telecommunications systems - approx. 900,000 EUR.
