The three hospitals in Aurich, Emden, and Norden are to be merged into one clinic. Planned is the construction of a complex of several buildings with associated traffic, parking, and open spaces. With the Central Clinic, a modern 814-bed facility centrally located between the cities of Aurich, Emden, and Norden will be created on a 36-hectare site in Uthwerdum. The building plot is located in Uthwerdum, a district of the municipality of Südbrookmerland in the district of Aurich in East Frisia. The site will be developed via the adjacent federal roads B72 and B21 to the south. The tender includes the establishment of medical gas supply systems incl. central plant engineering as well as the delivery and installation of components of KGR 473 - media supply systems in the buildings Supply Centre, Somatics, Centre for Mental Recovery and Energy Centre.
