Estonia – Design and execution of research and development – Rakendusuuringu „Söödalisandi 3-nitrooksüpropanooli (3-NOP) ja teatavate söödamaterjalide mõju piimalehmade metaani heite vähendamisele ja loomade heaolule“ läbiviimine

The objective is to carry out an applied research to assess the impact of the feed additive 3-nitrooxypropanool (3-NOP) and selected feed materials (e.g. rapeseed cake, fatty acids) on the reduction of methane emissions from the ruminal fermentation of dairy cows in Estonian conditions. The study will also assess the impact on animal health and welfare, milk composition and yield, and the potential for manure biogas/biomethane production. The support allocated for the applied research, as indicated in the tender documents, is 356 000 euros including VAT. Of this amount, 353 600 euros is earmarked for carrying out the applied research and 2 400 euros for the public presentation of the research results on two occasions. / Exclusion and qualification criteria: See the tender documents.
