The subject of the procurement are the remote consultation and examination services of a radiology specialist. The agreement is valid for a fixed term from 1 November 2026 to 31 October 2028. The contracting authority has the right, if it wishes, to use two one-year option periods: the first option period 1 November 2028 to 31 October 2029 and the second option period 1 November 2029 to 31 October 2030. The options are the possibility to extend the contract period. The contracting authority notifies the service provider in writing before the end of the current contract period of the use of the option. The notified start date of the contract period is the target schedule. The procurement unit follows the deadlines stipulated by the procurement law, which is why the contract period may start at the earliest when the statutory waiting period has ended. The contracting authority is not committed to specific order or procurement quantities. The quantities presented in the procurement notice and tender documents are estimates, which may be under or exceeded during the contract period. The contracting authority's service needs may also vary regionally. The notified estimated quantities are used only in the calculation of the comparative tender price, and they do not bind the contracting authority. A person employed by the Etelä-Pohjanmaan hyvinvointialue is not allowed to participate as a tenderer in their own organisation's tendering process. The person is also not allowed to simultaneously act in the employment of the contracting authority and in a service contract-based assignment for the service provider, producing the same service for the contracting authority.
