Description

The Max-Planck Society for the Advancement of Science (MPG) is a non-profit research organisation primarily funded by public means. It currently maintains and operates 84 institutes and other research facilities of varying size, structure, and remit across Germany, focusing mainly on basic research in the natural and human sciences. The subject of the contract to be awarded is engineering services in the field of building services (HVAC) for technical outstations of the Max-Planck Society's General Administration. The contract will be concluded as a framework agreement pursuant to § 21 VgV. The subject of the tendering procedure comprises the engineering services in the field of building services (HVAC) to be provided as so-called "Technical Outstation" within the scope of the ongoing maintenance, upkeep, and repair of the technical building services and systems, in accordance with the draft contract provided with this invitation to tender. The contract services are based on §§ 53 – 56 HOAI. The Technical Outstation supports the Max-Planck Society in the maintenance of its buildings. The maintenance is carried out in accordance with the Max-Planck Society's guidelines for building maintenance. In addition, the contracting authority intends to award planning services for construction measures to the contractor during the term of the framework agreement. The services are usually performed during ongoing operations. In providing the services, not only the specific requirements of the highly equipped buildings and the corresponding technical systems, but also the usual work processes in research and science must be taken into account. In this respect, the Max-Planck Society attaches importance to the fact that in this tendering procedure, not only do the bidders have to prove profound knowledge in the field of science and research, but also experience in the implementation of maintenance and repair measures during ongoing operations. The services to be provided must at least comply with the generally recognised rules of the art and meet all the necessary requirements of economy, energy efficiency, and sustainability. With the submission of the invitation to tender, the bidders declare that they are able to provide the services within the specified period and, in particular, that they have the necessary specialist, personal, material, and time resources for this purpose. The special requirements for the provision of services may make it necessary to be available for on-site coordination meetings at short notice and frequently at the request of the contracting authority. This lot comprises the following MPIs: EIFO (Max-Planck-Institut für nachhaltige Materialien (formerly Iron Research)) With the submission of an invitation to tender, the bidders declare that they are able to provide the services within the period mentioned below and that they have the necessary specialist, personal, and material resources for this purpose.
