Austria – Washing installation – Erneuerung von Waschanlagen

In the course of the renewal of the washing plant at Vienna Main Station, numerous electrical and mechanical components on the systems of tracks 251 and 252 will be replaced. The focus of the work is the replacement of frequency converters of various power classes, including the associated Profibus cards, in the areas of the left and right washing portal, rubbing-in stand, rubbing-out stand, washing-out stand and chemical station. In addition, several inductive switches, including connecting lines, will be renewed to ensure reliable position and operation monitoring of the system. In the area of water treatment and chemical metering, the replacement of pH electrodes is also planned. To increase operational safety, new light barriers, including protective covers, cabling and mounting material, will be retrofitted. Furthermore, various drive motors for pivoting, tilting, rotating and brushing movements within the washing portals and cleaning stands will be replaced. All components will be dismantled, re-installed, electrically connected and put into operation. The work also includes the necessary tests, functional checks and the adaptation of the drive technology to the current state of the system. The measure as a whole serves to increase the availability, operational safety and long-term spare parts supply of the Vienna Main Station washing plant. A 3-year maintenance contract will be optionally requested.
