II.1.4) Short description: The purpose of this contract is to provide services for the implementation of the EU Civil Protection Mechanism, including the provision of expertise, coordination and support to the EU Member States and Participating States in the field of civil protection and humanitarian aid. The services will include, but are not limited to, the following:

- Coordination and support to the EU Member States and Participating States in the preparation and conduct of civil protection exercises and training activities;

- Provision of expertise and support in the development and implementation of civil protection plans and strategies;

- Support in the organisation and conduct of civil protection conferences, workshops and seminars;

- Provision of expertise and support in the assessment and monitoring of civil protection capacities and capabilities;

- Support in the development and implementation of civil protection projects and programmes;

- Provision of expertise and support in the coordination and management of civil protection operations and emergencies;

- Support in the development and implementation of civil protection policies and guidelines;

- Provision of expertise and support in the assessment and monitoring of civil protection needs and requirements;

- Support in the development and implementation of civil protection communication and information strategies and tools;

- Provision of expertise and support in the coordination and management of civil protection resources and assets;

- Support in the development and implementation of civil protection training and education programmes and materials;

- Provision of expertise and support in the assessment and monitoring of civil protection performance and effectiveness;
