Slovakia – Construction work for water and sewage pipelines – Viničky - Kráľovský Chlmec - Intenzifikácia zásobného potrubia II. etapa

The subject of the contract is the reconstruction of 1,672 m of the supply water pipeline according to the project documentation outside the built-up area between the municipalities of Viničky and Ladmovce on the right bank of the watercourse Bodrog. The main part is DN 500 (PN10) - ductile cast iron in a length of 1,645 m; at the crossing of the Bodrog dam, in the section km 1.645 – 1.672, an inserted HDPE DN/OD 450 x 26.7 (PN10) pipe is designed in a length of 27 m into the existing DN 500 with sealing and anchoring ensured; it also includes functional connections – a water supply connection HDPE D63 x 3.8 (PN10) in a length of 21 m and a connection HDPE D160 x 9.5 (PN10) in a length of 8 m. The aforementioned water supply connection HDPE D63 x 3.8 (PN10) and connection HDPE D160 x 9.5 (PN10) are included in the project documentation for the sake of technical completeness of the solution, but are not the subject of the contract. The subject of the contract exclusively includes the reconstruction of the supply water pipeline in a length of 1,672 m ensuring the supply to the entitled agglomeration of Kráľovský Chlmec. Storage will be in an open trench with compliance with standard offsets, with the performance of pressure tests, flushing and disinfection, and with the restoration of the affected areas to their original state. The organisation of the construction will be phased so that the continuity of supply is maintained. From an operational point of view, the reconstructed section represents the main supply branch for the area of Kráľovský Chlmec and the connected municipalities. After the pipe exchange, physical losses will be eliminated on the solved section, pressure conditions will be stabilised and the hygienic safety of the drinking water supply will be increased.
