The Old Monastery is a historic building that is identity-creating for the municipality of Mering. As only necessary repairs and adaptations were carried out during the various uses, a comprehensive renovation is now required to preserve the building. Due to the significance of the building for the municipality of Mering and the various possibilities of accommodating the intended uses in the building, the municipality would like to ensure a high-quality solution to the task at hand within the framework of the VgV for the award of planning services according to HOAI § 34 for the renovation of the building. Already in the procedure, solution proposals for the conversion and renovation are to be submitted by the bidders. At the same time, the uses are to be brought into line with the requirements of accessibility, fire protection, historic building substance and identity-creating elements as well as economic efficiency - the limited budget of the municipality. The Old Monastery is a building that is not fully cellared with II+D. It has approximately 780 sqm of floor space. Currently, the municipality estimates construction costs for Lots 300+400 of approximately 2.85 million € net.
