Municipality of Pernik is implementing the project "For Cleaner Air in Pernik Municipality, through the replacement of solid fuel heating devices with ecological alternatives", funded by Grant Agreement for Free Financial Assistance (GAFFA) No. BG16FFPR002-5.002-0002-C01/ 24.04.2024, concluded through the procedure for direct provision of free financial assistance No. BG16FFPR002-5.002 "For Cleaner Air!" (2) under Priority 5 "Air" of the Environment Programme 2021 – 2027. The overall objective of the project is to improve the quality of the ambient air in Pernik Municipality by reducing PM10 emissions from domestic heating as one of the main sources of air pollution. The specific objective of the project is to replace household heating devices that use solid fuel (wood and coal) for heating with alternative high-efficiency modern ones. The implementation of the project is in line with the measures set out in the Programme for reducing emissions and achieving the set standards for fine particulate matter (PM10) and (PM2.5), SO2, VOCs in the ambient air of Pernik Municipality with a period of validity 2022-2028. Insurance of commissioned rooftop photovoltaic systems for own consumption with a maximum permissible power of 4 kW, in combination with devices for local storage of the produced energy with a top-up of energy from the grid, batteries (batteries) and devices that do not allow the return of electrical energy to the grid for own consumption (hereinafter referred to simply as photovoltaic systems or the object of insurance) for a period of insurance coverage of 60 (sixty) months, counted from the date of commissioning of each photovoltaic system.
