Italy – Parcel transport services – ID 24S101 - Servizio di trasporto campioni biologici nell’ambito del progetto regionale di esecuzione dello screening neonatale allargato per l’Azienda Ospedale-Università Padova

With DGRV no. 1308 of 23/07/2013, the Veneto Region approved the "Project for the implementation of expanded neonatal screening", aimed at Veneto neonates, with the objective of identifying at birth any metabolic pathologies included in Annex A of the aforementioned decision and preventing, through appropriate treatment, the onset of the related symptomatology. The expanded neonatal screening project identifies the University Hospital of Padova as the regional reference structure for its implementation, involving, from 01/01/2014, the Laboratory of Inherited Metabolic Diseases, as the single centre for the collection and execution of tests on neonates from the provinces of Padova, Venezia, Treviso and Belluno, to which, from April 2016, through specific agreements, the birth points of the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region were added. Among the activities necessary for the execution of the project is the service of transporting biological samples, collected daily from the birth points and delivered to the Laboratory of Inherited Metabolic Diseases of the University Hospital of Padova.
