For the new Berlin funding area Potsdamer Straße of the Federal State Programme Lebendige Zentren, the area management will be tendered. The contract includes partial services of a business street management. The Lebendige Zentren funding programme focuses on the adaptation, revitalisation and strengthening of centres with their adjacent neighbourhoods. Measures that contribute to upgrading and profiling as well as to promoting the diversity of use will be financed. The programme supports the design of multifunctional and attractive public spaces as well as the qualification of social, cultural and educational facilities. The implementation of climate protection and climate adaptation measures is a funding requirement. In addition, private actors will be supported for their commitment in the area within the framework of cooperation and area fund projects. A total of 2,600 annual working hours, including the share for business street management (500 annual working hours), are to be commissioned. The contract is to be awarded for three years and three months with an annual extension option for the duration of the funding period.
