The Westpfalz-Klinikum Kaiserslautern plans to implement the 3rd construction phase of the general renovation - new radiology – in 3 measures: a) Radiology measure in Building 6, Level 1 This is the most extensive measure, comprising 2 X-ray treatment rooms, 2 CT treatment rooms, and one examination room for fluoroscopy with associated preparation and control rooms, as well as changing rooms and ancillary rooms. Additionally, this measure includes a lounge, a findings room, a reception room, and a demo room. The rooms will be located in the currently unused areas of the former cardiac catheterisation laboratory. The client has already planned a functional area for the MRTS and digital subtraction angiography (DSA) adjacent to the areas now being planned. For this measure, a total usable area of 474 m² is planned according to the preliminary planning submitted. b) Administration measure in Building 6, Level -1 On Level -1 of Building 6, two levels below the radiology department and connected to it by two staircases, the administration for the radiology department is planned. Here, 6 doctor's offices, a conference room, a changing room and a washroom, 2 toilets, and a storage room with a total usable area of 134 m² are planned. c) Paediatric radiology measure in Building 5, Level 2 On Level 2 of Building 5, an ultrasound examination room, a findings room with the possibility for consultation, a storage room, and a bed waiting area in the corridor with a usable area of 65 m² are planned for the paediatric radiology department. This adjoins the MRI area of Building 7, which is assigned to the paediatric radiology department.
