Belgium – Provision of services to the community – Projectwerking - Buurtwerk Zaventem en Sint - Stevens - Woluwe - oktober 2026 - september 2032

The municipal authority aims to increase opportunities so that all inhabitants of the municipality actively participate in the local, economic and cultural life. As part of this policy, the municipality of Zaventem is focusing on neighbourhood initiatives that strengthen social cohesion, improve the living environment and promote citizen participation. This involves the continuation of the current neighbourhood work in Zaventem as well as the start of neighbourhood work in Sint-Stevens-Woluwe. This amounts to a total of 3 VTE. The neighbourhood work in Zaventem has been phased and grown. The initial government assignment regarding neighbourhood work (1 VTE neighbourhood worker) has already been started in July 2019 and ends on 30 September 2027. The neighbourhood work Zaventem was (within the framework of Plan Samenleven) further expanded with 1 extra neighbourhood worker VTE. This cooperation agreement runs until 30 September 2026. From an optimal and coordinated operation regarding neighbourhood work, it is indicated to award the assignment regarding neighbourhood work for 3 VTE neighbourhood workers to 1 contractor. However, given the phased start, the current cooperation agreement with an external partner for the initially started neighbourhood work Zaventem (1 VTE) will in principle run until 30 September 2027. Regarding the government assignment concerning the other 2 neighbourhood workers (total: 2 VTE), this will start on 1 October 2026. Based on the above, this assignment will start on 1 October 2026 for 2 VTE neighbourhood workers (1 VTE Zaventem and 1 VTE Sint-Stevens-Woluwe), respectively 1 October 2027 (1 VTE Zaventem) for what concerns the first government assignment, but this government assignment for all 3 neighbourhood workers (3 VTE) will ultimately end on 30 September 2032.
