The municipality of Apeldoorn aims to achieve a coherent and future-proof wayfinding system for the city centre and its immediate surroundings. Wayfinding is not only seen as signposting, but as an integral system that connects information, public space, and the identity of the city centre. The objective of this contract is to develop and implement a wayfinding approach that contributes to a logical, readable, and attractive city centre. Visitors should be able to move easily to and from important access points, such as the station, parking facilities, and entrances to the city centre, and then intuitively orient themselves within the central area.
