Germany – Switching station installation work – Neubau Netzkupplung Fischenich; Elektrifizierung Eifelstrecke

The accelerated electrification of the Eifel routes as part of the reconstruction will be implemented by the installation of 2x25 kV feeder lines as part of the overhead line system. This type of railway power supply is novel compared to railway power supply by means of 110 kV railway power lines and substations and is unique so far in the DB Energie power supply network. The planning and construction of, among other things, the Fischenich network coupling is part of the accelerated electrification of the Eifel routes with 2x25 kV feeder lines.
