The Swedish Agency for Public Management (SiS) is now taking steps to electronically monitor certain children and young people placed in special youth homes, both during stays outside the special youth home and within the home's own area. In addition, SiS has been tasked with enabling electronic monitoring of children and young people who are not placed in a special youth home, but who, following a decision by the social welfare board, must comply with special instructions to, for example, stay in their residence or another designated place at certain times.

SiS is procuring a comprehensive solution to electronically monitor certain children and young people, which includes equipment and a system solution that can be operated in its own IT environment with support from the supplier.
