Germany – Engineering services – AZV - Neubau der Kläranlage Untere Ahr in Remagen, Bodengutachterlichen Leistungen sowie das Entsorgungs-/Stoffstrommanagement von Altlasten

The wastewater association (AZV) Untere Ahr plans to build a new wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) Untere Ahr in Remagen, after the existing WWTP in the neighbouring town of Sinzig was severely damaged in the 2021 flood disaster. The site selected for the new construction is north of the B 266 on a plot that is approximately 7-8 m higher than the old site and thus flood-proof. The project is currently in the final stages of design and approval planning (phase 3/4-HOAI). A WWTP with a design size of at least 174,000 PE is to be built. The expected inflow of water is 800 l/s. The objectives of the 4th purification stage have been determined in the course of the planning. An operation of the plant that is optimized in terms of energy and economics is aimed for, with the highest possible plant availability. The planning will be carried out using the BIM method. Possibilities of AI will also be taken into account. The use of AI is to include an optimization of processes with regard to resource savings and energy efficiency. The aim is to achieve a WWTP operation that is as climate-neutral as possible. The subject of this tender are the geotechnical services and the waste management/resource flow management, in particular with regard to the demanding foundation of the plant and the clearance of possible suspected contaminated sites during the construction phase. The scope of services is shown in the document attachment 7. The AZV's demand planning for the new construction of the WWTP, the catalogue of services for the above-mentioned services, the schedule as of 31.03.2026, and the results of the ordnance risk assessment and aerial image evaluation are part of the tender documents.
