The planned construction work involves the renovation and expansion of the existing operating theatre (OP) department on level -2 of the Universitätsklinikum in Marburg. With the restructuring of the OP operations and the associated optimisation of the routing within the treatment level, an improvement of the organisational structure will be achieved. In addition to the capacity expansion, including the area of the former emergency department, and the structural optimisation, a hybrid operating theatre with an attached magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) unit will be created in place of the current OPs 11-13. The planned construction site includes the operating theatre department currently in operation and the former emergency department of the Universitätsklinik Marburg, which has already been dismantled. The construction work will be carried out in 3 construction phases, in parallel with the maintenance of the daily OP operations. In addition, the area of the former intensive care unit I1 will be converted into a recovery room. On level -3, renovation work is required for the ventilation system. A weather protection structure will also be erected on the roof for the ventilation system. Special conditions: The renovation will take place in sections in designated sub-areas while the clinic is in operation. The resulting disruptions to the construction process must be factored into the prices.
