Germany – Fire-prevention services – Konzession für die Aufschaltung von Brandmeldeanlagen auf die IRLS

The districts of Osterholz, Cuxhaven and the city of Bremerhaven are conducting a joint concession tender for the operation and technical maintenance of the alarm transmission system (AÜA). The aim of the award is to establish a uniform, modern, highly available and interference-resistant infrastructure for alarm reception across all three local authorities. This will permanently and comprehensively increase the reliability of the municipal emergency response. The focus of the project is the provision of a modern, highly available and interference-resistant technical solution for the transmission and receipt of fire alarm signals. The contracting entities plan to grant a BMA concession to a concessionaire for the duration of the contract period. The concessionaire will obtain the exclusive right to establish, maintain and operate a public alarm transmission system for fire alarms and to connect participants to this alarm transmission system (Variant 1, according to system overview Annex 1). Furthermore, the concessionaire must allow contractors approved by the contracting entity to connect and operate their technology to its alarm transmission system. (Variants 2 and 3, according to system overview Annex 1). This concession applies to the area of responsibility of the joint Integrated Regional Control Centre Unterweser-Elbe (IRLS) for the three participating local authorities.
