The Joint Research Centre (JRC) of the European Commission in Petten intends to replace the existing air handling units (AHUs) and the associated HVAC infrastructure in buildings 308 and 309. The current ventilation systems are outdated and have reached the end of their operational lifespan. Furthermore, preliminary technical assessments have shown that the existing air renewal capacity is insufficient to maintain optimal indoor air quality for the occupants.
