Germany – Environmental monitoring for construction – Ökologische und Baumschutzfachliche Baubegleitung

The construction project is located in the forest park facilities at Krumme Lanke and Schlachtensee in 14163 Berlin, in the district of Steglitz-Zehlendorf. The entire forest park facility is part of the Grunewald nature reserve. The area is characterised by forested areas with partially old tree stock. The site slopes down towards the water, and is steep in places. The location of the construction project in the nature reserve and partially in the water protection area makes ecological and arboricultural construction supervision (ÖBB) particularly necessary and is also required by the Environmental and Nature Conservation Office. The ÖBB should be involved from the start of construction and throughout the entire construction project. In addition to recording the protected objects and protective measures before the start of construction and monitoring during the construction project, the local construction management should be able to rely on the expert support and advice of the ÖBB, particularly when work has to be carried out in tree areas where the best protection of the trees in question cannot be clearly determined. The ecological construction supervision and, in particular, the arboricultural construction supervision includes the following services: 1. Determination of the condition of the stock and determination of the protective measures before the start of construction. 2. Construction supervision in the construction phase - Briefing of the executing companies, - Arboricultural monitoring, - Monitoring of compliance with nature conservation requirements (basis: Nature conservation inspection of 21.08.2026) - Expert support and evaluation as required.
