The Service involves the experimentation of a “Port Goods Buffer” which materialises in an operational model for the regulation and optimisation of the traffic of intermodal transport units (UTIs) entering/exiting ports, to be implemented in appropriately equipped, organised and managed extra-port areas to absorb peaks in goods traffic and rationalise the transit times for loading and unloading, with the aim of decongesting the infrastructure of the port nodes of the Western Ligurian Sea Port Authority.
