The planned construction project involves the conversion of the former monastery's cloister wing (existing building) into a museum. Simultaneously, a new building (event venue with connectors) will be constructed next to it. The construction site is located in Kyritz in the monument protection area "Altstadt Kyritz" and the archaeological site "Altstadt Kyritz". As part of the construction project, the connecting structure will be constructed as a transparent design in post-and-beam construction. The facade construction includes the external facades, glazed roof surfaces, and internal partition and termination elements in post-and-beam design, including all necessary connection, sealing, and fire protection measures. The construction will be executed as a wood-metal post-and-beam system. The supporting structure will be designed to be visible from the interior. On the exterior, a weather-resistant metal cladding or metal covering with a coating in a color chosen by the client will be applied. All surfaces must be durable, low-maintenance, and tailored to the building's requirements. The connecting structure will be predominantly single-story. In the area of the building transition, the facade construction will be designed to span two stories. The structural design will take into account all relevant loads from dead weight, wind, temperature stress, and any operational and maintenance loads. The work includes all ancillary services, fastening materials, sealants, coverings, connection profiles, and the complete coordination of the interfaces with the adjoining trades. The post-and-beam facade, including the glass roofs and internal wall constructions, must be manufactured as a technically and aesthetically uniform overall system.
