Description

Measuring and planning services, protective measures, weather protection for facade openings, dismantling of approximately 41 existing windows, installation of approximately 83 steel windows, installation of approximately 50 steel exterior doors partly with transoms, installation of approximately 2 RS steel interior doors, installation of accessories/equipment such as transom fittings, door closers, revolving door drives, door buffers, magnetic catches, etc. The construction site is located in the so-called Torso, consisting of the round building and the long building, of the Congress Hall at Dutzendteich in Nuremberg. The work will be carried out in sections on the street facade in E0 (arcade), E1 and E2, as well as in the basement on the courtyard facade. // The City of Nuremberg intends to carry out measures for the fundamental usability and substance preservation of the Congress Hall on the former Nazi Party Rally Grounds in Nuremberg. The Torso of the unfinished and currently unusable Congress Hall was built from 1935 to 1939 (cessation of construction work) and is one of the largest architectural legacies of the NS dictatorship. After the completed remediation of harmful substances (not the subject of this procedure), measures should be implemented that will enable the subsequent expansion. The aim of the subproject of fundamental usability and substance preservation is the upgrading of the shell construction and the creation of a tight building envelope.
