Netherlands – Public transport services by railways – Concessie Zutphen-Hengelo-Oldenzaal 2028-2032

The Concession Zutphen-Hengelo-Oldenzaal starts on 10 December 2028 and has a duration of 4 years and can be extended a maximum of two times by one year. This Concession is considered a bridging concession. During the duration of the Concession, the Concession Grantor aims to realise the electrification of the route. At the time of the initial publication of this Descriptive Document, ProRail is carrying out a plan development for this. After the end of the Concession, the Concession Grantor aims to introduce electric trains in a subsequent concession. The Provincial Executive of Overijssel and Gelderland are (each for their territory) responsible for the Concession Zutphen-Hengelo-Oldenzaal. This Concession will be tendered through an open European procedure. The Province of Overijssel will act as the lead authority during the tendering procedure. See tender documents.
