The operational building in Cologne-Langel, Alte Römerstraße 171 in 50679 Cologne, is mostly single-story, fully basemented and constructed in three sections with joints. In some areas, an intermediate floor has been installed for archive use, technical and sanitary rooms. On the northwest side, there is a separate stair tower with a lift to the connecting corridor of the two fault towers. On the lower ground floor, the installation channels connect to the other operational sites. The existing operational building was constructed in 1982 and renovated in 1995. The aim of the measure is the renovation or refurbishment of all floors in the operational building. The operational building is also to be partially reconstructed.
