The facility was constructed in the 1990s as part of the initial capacities of TEC Plovdiv-Sever, with a height of 180 meters and an outer diameter at the base of 16.26 meters. The chimney is a classic design of a steel-reinforced concrete load-bearing pipe, insulation of glass wool, and acid-resistant brick masonry. Flue – The facility was constructed in the 1990s as connecting chimney 180m and the old boiler capacities, located on the site of TEC Sever. The metal flue is a steel pipe with a light diameter of 4.5m and a wall thickness of 5mm. It has thermal insulation of 10 cm in two layers of glass or marl wool. The insulation is protected from external atmospheric conditions with galvanized sheeting with a thickness of 0.5-0.6mm. The metal pipe of the flue is reinforced by 12 metal supports with reinforced concrete foundations.
