The KCE wishes to improve the management of its projects and research programme with the help of software that should enable it to: (1) Optimise the research programme in terms of resource allocation (days/experts) and project scheduling, using simulations (2) Manage projects professionally and support project leaders and programme managers in this regard, throughout the project life cycle, including planning, implementation tracking, reporting, risk management, etc. (3) Report to the Board of Directors a series of indicators on the progress of projects (4) Enter and retrieve the performance of experts (timesheets) for the purpose of operational analysis, performance indicator tracking and analytical accounting (5) Exchange (receive/send) data with other applications, either automatically or semi-automatically. It should also be possible to migrate existing data from the current software. The KCE's research projects and cross-cutting activities in the programme currently number 100. This volume is expected to increase in the coming years. The number of users to be expected is 150. This number may also change. These users must access the system to view their individual schedule and have an overview of the projects in which they are involved (project team members) and enter and access their performance records (timesheets).
