Germany – Lift installation work – Neubau Brandschutz- und Ausbildungszentrums (BAZ) am Standort Newel

I. General description: The Verbandsgemeinde Trier-Land plans to construct a central fire protection and training centre in Newel to concentrate the supra-regional functions of the Verbandsgemeinde fire brigade, utilise synergies and increase operational readiness. The building will not only provide space for the safe storage of vehicles in the future, but also for the storage and organisation of a wide variety of equipment. In addition to the aforementioned facilities, training and meeting rooms will be provided, not only for regular training and information on new techniques, regulations and deployment strategies, but also for the central training and further education of the fire brigade staff in the entire Verbandsgemeinde Trier-Land. The training area is complemented by a training yard and a training wall, which are specifically designed for practical training and exercises. The workshop areas of the fire brigade will be supplemented by additional office and workshop areas of the Verbandsgemeinde (Bauhof, Zweckverband Forst) to cover a broader range of testing, maintenance and repair work. The ground floor and the first floor of the two-storey building are planned as a massive reinforced concrete structure with a high degree of prefabrication. The external walls consist of reinforced concrete hollow walls, will be thermally insulated and will receive a curtain facade made of aluminium with free profile geometry. The vehicle hall is to be constructed as a conventional reinforced concrete frame structure. The partition wall between the vehicle hall and the adjoining ancillary room programme is planned as a reinforced concrete thermal wall. Inside, the reinforced concrete hollow walls are to remain largely visible. The roof structure in the form of a green roof with a PV system rests on reinforced concrete girders and consists of a trapezoidal sheet metal support shell as a warm roof structure, which is designed with acoustic perforation on the underside.
