In the context of the project to acquire a new Intaglio press, the Banque de France wishes to have an ink pumping bench manufactured identical to those installed on the other Intaglio presses over the past few years. The Intaglio printing machine (SOI 4) is equipped with five inking units allowing for the indirect inking of printing plates, which in turn print in relief part of the banknote design. These inking units are supplied by the pumping bench, the subject of this consultation, which consists of five pumps. The ink is pumped from drums installed under each of the pumps and is conveyed by a pipe that pours the ink through a cannula into each of the inking units. Each of the pumps is controlled by a servo loop driven by a sensor located in each of the inking units (ink level measurement). A distribution system allows the ink to be distributed homogeneously in the inking unit. When one of the drums is almost empty, the operator is called to replace this drum. The drum is replaced without any interruption in the ink supply to the machine (without emptying the inking unit). The services, the subject of the present contract include: • The manufacture of a modular bench in accordance with the file (1 control module + 5 identical pumping modules). • The supply of the pipes from the bench to the machine. • The installation and commissioning of the pumping bench.
