Germany – Government services – Analyse ökonomischer Effekte der Energiewende in der Energiewirtschaft

The aim of the project is to examine how the energy transition has affected investments and jobs in the energy sector. For this purpose, existing data from statistics, companies and scientific studies will be evaluated. On this basis, investments in the energy transition and employment in the energy sector will be presented over a longer period. A particular focus will be on renewable energies, as there are currently few official data on employment in this area.

Additionally, it can be examined which costs of energy supply are incurred for consumers. The areas of electricity, heat and transport will be considered and the various costs summarized. The contractor will support the BMWE in data evaluation and in the development of suitable indicators. The aim is to present the previous economic impacts of the energy transition in a comprehensible manner based on data.
