The subject of the project is the hydraulic and structural adaptation of the wastewater disposal system in the municipalities of Ammerthal and Illschwang. The project includes the partial reallocation of existing catchment areas and the adaptation of the existing drainage infrastructure. This includes, in particular, the enlargement of the existing main collector between the stormwater overflow tanks (RÜB I and RÜB II) to ensure efficient discharge of the future wastewater volumes. Furthermore, the measure includes the rehabilitation and technical upgrading of existing stormwater overflow tanks, including associated structures and plant equipment. The aim is to improve drainage safety, reduce combined sewer overflows, and adapt the facilities to current water management requirements.
