The subject of the contract is the design, manufacture, supply and handover of technology for drying wet process gas containing sulphur dioxide. The technology will be based on a two-stage removal of moisture from the process gas. In the first stage, the process gas will be cooled in the condensation section for the purpose of condensing a substantial portion of the water contained therein. In the second stage, the remaining moisture will be removed by absorption drying in a packed drying tower, where the gas will be passed in counter-current to circulating concentrated sulphuric acid. The sulphuric acid will ensure the absorption of water vapour from the gas. The concentration of the acid will be maintained by supplementing with 98% sulphuric acid and draining sulphuric acid at the target concentration of 96.5% by weight, diluted with water absorbed from the process gas. The technology will be supplied as two pre-assembled skid-mounted units: • condensation skid, • drying tower skid. The delivery of the skids will include technological equipment, piping, fittings, instrumentation, supporting structures, cabling and electrical connections within the scope of the skid units, technical documentation and expert support during commissioning.
