The subject of the construction project is the three-lane expansion of the B 5 in the 2nd construction section north of Tönning over a length of approx. 4.0 km. The expansion is predominantly carried out on the existing route with a standard cross-section of 15.50 m and alternating overtaking lanes. As part of the measure, economic access roads will be created on both sides for the development of the adjacent properties and to supplement the road network. The L 32/K 34 will be connected to the B 5 at Reimersbude via a bridge structure. In addition, a total of seven water crossings will be newly constructed or renovated, including bridges over the Spuitsieler, Reimersbuder and Witzworter Sielzug as well as dry passages for otters. The construction work will be carried out in sections while maintaining the ongoing traffic. To ensure traffic management, appropriate preloads and construction phases are provided, with full closures and extensive detours kept as short as possible.
