Description

For a broadband X-band pulse radar system, integrated electronic units are to be procured. The modules include filters, amplifiers, attenuators, switches, and mixer components and serve to condition signals between the signal generation or detection and the antenna of the radar system. Three different types of modules are required:

- 4 units of transmitter modules (TX) with frequency conversion,

- 15 units of receiver modules (RX) with frequency conversion, and

- 7 units of receiver modules without frequency conversion (RX_EXT).

The frequency conversion is to take place as an IQ mixing from the baseband (0.01–2.2 GHz) to the X-band (8–12.4 GHz), or from the X-band to the baseband on the receiving side. In addition to the RF inputs and outputs, the modules must also have switchable calibration outputs and an output for level monitoring. The modules must contain variable attenuators. The modules (TX, RX and RX_EXT) must have an output power of at least 0 dBm. The modules are to be installed in an aluminium housing with SMA connectors. All modules must undergo complete RF characterization and evidence of functionality must be documented and supplied. The delivery must include complete documentation of the modules. The modules are to be designed for use within a typical (commercial) temperature range. The modules are to be constructed without ITAR components. The delivery time for one test module each must not exceed 9 months from the date of order. The remaining modules are to be delivered within a further 6 months.
