The health insurance funds are obliged under § 291 (8) SGB V to provide each insured person with a digital identity approved under § 325 (1) SGB V. In order to enable the insured to use their digital identity, TK intends, as a first step, to have a Whitelabel application, approved by the contractor through gematik, provided. In a second step, TK intends to replace the Whitelabel application and integrate an Authenticator module in the form of an SDK into its own mobile application. The health insurance funds are obliged under § 342 (7) SGB V to provide an ePA FdV for desktop platforms (ePA Desktop FdV). For the ePA Desktop FdV, an IDP Authenticator module is also required according to the gematik specification, which must be integrated into the application. TK requires the ePA Desktop FdV as a fully approved Whitelabel application.
