The town of Brotterode-Trusetal intends to build a new fire station for the Brotterode local fire department. The basis for this is the Thuringian Law on Fire Protection, General Assistance and Civil Protection (ThürBKG) as published on 29 June 2018. According to the ThürFwOrgVO, the risk classes have been determined for: - Fire hazards / technical hazards - Hazardous materials / ABC - Hazards The response area Brotterode (Fire Station Brotterode) is classified as risk class BT2 and therefore requires an HLF or LF 10 and a DLAK 18/12 in stage 1. According to the current DGUV regulations and DIN 14092, two parking spaces size 2 (DLK 18/12) and a parking possibility for an MTW are to be planned according to the classification ThürFwOrgVO. Location

As a result of a comprehensive examination of several variants taking into account all fire department-specific requirements, it has been found that the new construction of a fire station at the location of the old station is more economical than the partial renovation and conversion of the former bus hall. Accordingly, the municipality has acquired the property Bahnhofstraße 10-12 of the former bus company Lesser with bus hall and former station: Municipality Brotterode-Trusetal; District Brotterode; Block 22 Plots 48/4 part.; 50/5; 50/6; 81/3. The size of the plot to be used is approximately 4,600 m2. The existing buildings are scheduled for demolition. In the event of an alarm, vehicles will exit via Bahnhofstraße / Liebensteiner Straße. In addition to the building of the fire station, 2 parking spaces size 2 (DLK 18/12), a parking space for the MTW and the necessary parking spaces for the private vehicles of the firefighters are to be provided on the site. Additionally, the development of the southerly located hall complexes (Plot 92/1; 50/3 and 190/43) must be ensured. The operation of the fire department must not be disrupted by the development traffic.

Conditions of use

The FFW Brotterode has a total of approximately 24 members (male and female members. Additionally, the youth fire department has approximately 12 members. The current space program of the city provides for the fire station use and technical areas with a total of 513 m2. This results in a gross floor area (BGFa) of approximately 730 m2. In addition to the vehicle hall, the other uses can be arranged in a two-story building section.
