Switzerland – Air transport services – Versorgungs- und Rotationsflüge zu Gunsten Armeeauftrag Friedensförderung

Armasuisse is procuring supply flights on behalf of the SWISSINT Competence Centre, which is subordinate to the Operations Command of the Swiss Army. The SWISSINT Competence Centre has been responsible for the operational implementation of SWISSCOY in Kosovo since the summer of 1999. SWISSCOY is the largest engagement of the Swiss Army in the field of peace promotion to date. Since November 2004, the SWISSINT Competence Centre has also ensured the Swiss contribution to the EUFOR ALTHEA mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The SWISSCOY contingent is supplied by air with mail and freight from Switzerland. The return of mail and freight from the operational area to Switzerland is also part of these supply flights. With a stopover in Sarajevo, the EUFOR/LOT mission is regularly supplied with mail and freight from Switzerland. This supply flight also ensures the return of mail and freight from the operational area to Switzerland. The supply flights are also used to ensure troop rotation.
