France – Special-purpose machine tools – Acquisition, livraison et installation d’une machine de compression mécanique instrumentée à chaud sous atmosphère contrôlée au sein de l’Institut de Recherche de Chimie Paris (IRCP)

In the framework of its research activities in physical metallurgy, materials science and the development of advanced metallic alloys, the Institut de Recherche de Chimie Paris (IRCP) wishes to acquire an instrumented mechanical compression machine enabling the performance of thermomechanical tests under isothermal conditions and controlled atmosphere on metallic materials and advanced alloys. The equipment will be intended for shaping as well as the study of deformation mechanisms, recrystallisation, phase transformations and thermomechanical behaviour of metallic materials subjected to severe stresses at high temperature. The equipment must enable the performance of instrumented mechanical compression tests, independent control of thermal and mechanical parameters, the conduction of high-temperature tests, operation under controlled atmosphere and the synchronised acquisition of experimental data. The installation must allow hot compression tests over a wide range of thermal, mechanical and atmospheric conditions and must be designed for intensive use in an academic environment. The contract has for its object the supply, installation, commissioning, training and associated warranty of an instrumented mechanical compression machine enabling the performance of thermomechanical tests at high temperature under controlled atmosphere. The present contract comprises at a minimum the acquisition, the minimum expected technical and functional performances of the equipment, delivery assured by the contractor, installation and commissioning, user training and contractual warranty and associated support.
