Establishment and Terrain Command is procuring a total consultant contract for the total restoration and upgrading of Building 1 of Livgardens Kaserne. The procurement is conducted as a negotiated procedure, pursuant to the Public Procurement Act, § 61. The task involves the total restoration and upgrading of the existing building of Livgardens Kaserne located at Gothersgade 100, 1123 København K. The building consists of three main elements: a main building consisting of two wings and three pavilions, a long building including a partially basement, and a stable building. Additionally, there is an independent basement level connected to and accessible from the stable building. All aforementioned building elements are collectively referred to as "Building 1". The task of total restoration and upgrading covers the entire Building 1, with the exception of the independent basement level and parts of the ground floor in the Long Building. The client has, prior to the procurement of the total consultancy, conducted a series of pre-investigations and prepared a building program with accompanying functional and spatial program as well as other appendices, which describe the intentions and requirements of the project. The building program and the accompanying appendices include the building historical report and valuation, which the restoration should follow, as well as a processed idea proposal and a layout, which the upgrading is expected to follow. The task then consists of finalizing and designing the demolition, restoration and upgrading project, procuring the works in tenders in closer agreement with the client, as well as managing the construction management and conducting specialist inspections during the execution of all tendered works until the final commissioning of the completed building. The task is carried out in close cooperation with the client, the client's consultant, representatives of the barracks' users, relevant preservation authorities, and the contractor on the individual tenders.
