Within the framework of the Rhone project, flood protection measures are to be implemented in the section Raron Dorf (between Tromweri, km 104.81 and Bietschbach, km 103.6) in order to protect the settlement area from floods as quickly as possible. For this purpose, an advanced measure (VM Raron Dorf) is planned, which will set back the right-bank dyke by approximately 15m and increase the discharge capacity of the Rhone. On the left bank, the bank protections are to be checked and, if necessary, renovated. Within the framework of the present contract (river engineering incl. UVB), the measures are to be planned and publicly announced.
