Germany – Government services – Ausbau des Datenmanagements zur Digitalisierung mariner Biodiversitätsdaten am BfN (BioDig)

The project aims to further develop the marine data infrastructure of the BfN in terms of expertise and technology. It builds directly on the predecessor project and ensures that the marine monitoring and results data of the German EEZ are fully, quality-assured and EU-compliant integrated into the GDI.BfN. This includes the further development of FME data processes, Web-GIS solutions (map.apps), visualisations and the preparation of the mandatory reporting obligations (Habitats Directive, Birds Directive, Marine Strategy Framework Directive, INSPIRE, MDI-DE). The project forms the technical basis for the implementation of marine nature conservation and the long-term stability of the federal data processes.
